In certain cases, particularly when it seems like nothing is working, going back to the fundamentals or doing a reset is the greatest thing you can do for your skin. I don’t know about the rest of you, but sometimes it seems like none of the cosmetic items in my hoard are helping my skin, which feels rough, looks dull, breaks out, and looks dull.

Have you ever experienced anything similar? I do a skincare reset and return to the fundamentals anytime I encounter anything similar, whether it be stress, pollution, or something else: A face cream without frills, an acid-free toner, and an inactive cleanser, a fancy component, yet efficient. new Althea goods are now here! What is Althea Bare Essentials?

The Althea Bare Basics line strives to provide skin with the essentials without the added expense or steps to a regime, making it suited for today’s busy urban population. Overly intricate skincare procedures may clog pores and leave the face appearing exhausted. Contour Cleanser, Primer Water, and Fixer Cream are its three foundational products, which may be used on any skin type. Their objective is to finish skin makeup without using makeup.

The Fixer Cream & Lotion (50g RM50.00)

Trehalose, a component of cactus plants that stops moisture loss, is used in this non-greasy, quickly absorbed solution to hydrate skin all day long. This ultra-nourishing wonder cream contains components from the Baobab tree to assist stimulate collagen regeneration, as well as antioxidants from Camellia Sinensis (green tea) seed oil. What Althea Bare Essentials Claim?

It includes lemon myrtle, which is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants to strengthen the skin, as well as ice plant, which hydrates and soothes redness. Additionally, it has tightly packed microcapsules that release when they come into contact with water, gently cleansing, exfoliating, and detoxifying the skin. For a defined, enviably thin facial shape, contour cleanser aids in circulation improvement and edoema and puffiness reduction.

Texture, Packaging and Result

Texture: Although the name refers to “water,” the texture is more akin to balm. It’s nearly like a balm, yet it’s runny like a liquid, making it difficult to describe. I’ve never employed anything like this before.

Packaging: It comes in a sleek, semi-hard plastic container with a silver screw cover that makes me think of pricey, opulent mineral water. However, it also has a white, minimalistic box.

Results: Out of the three, this is my five! After gently patting it all over my face, it feels incredibly soft, silky, and supple. It actually offers me a smooth basis for the application of additional skin care products or cosmetics, making it more of a primer than a toner or micellar water. It is light, non-greasy, and non-sticky. Every time I utilise my face, I like caressing it.

My Experience of Using it

In my experience, it has a light fragrance and a creamy texture that is wonderful for my dry skin. Although the recipe doesn’t include SLS or alcohol, which I generally avoid, it does have menthol and aroma, which may be irritating to those with sensitive skin. Fortunately, no inflammation nor pain occurred on my skin. After using this cleanser, I didn’t have any tightness or dryness either.

Final Verdict

I’ve been enjoying this Bare Essentials product because it has a very energizing scent and a clean, simple design. It’s attractive to me and looks good on my vanity. However, I’m hoping that Althea includes sunscreen as well because I think it’s an essential part of our daily skin care regimen. Worth a shot all around! Priming Water is a favourite of mine.
